Goodbye, Jake Cunningham!
After nearly a decade of training with us, it’s time to say a temporary goodbye to one of our longtime students, Jake Cunningham.
Jake’s parents have moved closer to Santos BJJ, so Jake will be continuing his BJJ journey there under the guidance of one of our longtime trainers, Logan Santos. While we’re definitely going to miss having Jake on the mats, we couldn’t be happier knowing that he’ll be continuing his journey with someone who has been such an important part of our team and our BJJ family.
For almost 10 years, Jake has shown up, put in the work, and quietly built an incredible foundation. If you’ve been around the gym for any length of time, you probably remember seeing Jake in our Monday 5:45 PM Gi and Wednesday 5:45 PM No-Gi classes — two classes he never missed. That kind of consistency says everything about his dedication.
And now, Jake is getting very close to that brown belt.
Jake, we’re incredibly proud of the person and practitioner you’ve become. This isn’t goodbye forever — it’s simply the next chapter of your journey. We fully expect to see you back on our mats visiting, training, and reminding everyone where you got your start over the years!
Keep putting in the work, Jake. We’ll be following your journey and cheering you on every step of the way!
