Many times I have heard people come into my academy and say that they were to old to start training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. This is not true. Jiujitsu is an art that can be trained by anyone at any age. This is a picture of two of my students, Dan Shapiro (69) and Joe Shaganaw (74), training at my academy. These two guys are huge inspirations to us all. They are very dedicated and LOVE their training in the art of brazilian jiu-jitsu. Dan Shapiro has went through open heart surgery and 2 hip replacements and refuses to let that stop him from doing what he loves and accomplishing his goals. Joe Shaganaw always tells me that this is the best thing he has done since his retirement. Jiujitsu is an AWESOME art that teaches us so many things when it comes to life skills, such as, goal setting, overcoming obstacles and staying consistent to reach goals to name just a few. These guys are "rock stars" when it comes to jiu-jitsu and it is truly a pleasure to have them both training consistently at my academy. All I can say is "I wanna be like Dan and Joe when I grow up!!" Thanks guys, you all are awesome.!!!smiley
