A great night of grappling matches this past Sunday at the Kakuto submission challenge. We had T Driskell, Chris Jones and Alex Jutis representing our team. All three of these guys did an outstanding job and continually hunted for the submission win. T Driskell won his super fight in quick fashion via knee bar submission. T loves to hunt for the legs, and when he goes hunting he usually comes back with something!! :0) Alex Jutis also had a super fight and had a dominating performance as the 10 minute time limit ended, which results in a draw if there is no submission. Chris Jones fought in the pro 6 man tournament which was filled with very talented grapplers. 3 of the individuals in this 6-man bracket had previously fought in the prestigious EBI tournament. Chris took the silver medal winning 2 matches via submission, 1 draw and losing in the finals in a back and forth foot/leg lock war.
Congratulations guys and to all their opponents and everyone who competed in Kakuto. A great event with a lot of very exciting matches!! Great organization, great fights and great energy!! Life is good, but life is much better with BJJ in it!!!
