Closed For Memorial Day
Just a reminder that we are closed for Memorial Day. Classes will resume as normal on Tuesday. Be safe and have a good time with your family, but don't forget that this is a day to honor those that have fought, and serve, for our freedom.
Technical Issues Resolved!
So last night NJ got on to me for the lack of updates. Of course he is right, but I actually have a legit excuse. We had some technical problems that Professor Paul has since resolved and we are back in action with a lot of good news but I'm gonna pass over some other stuff too, sorry time constraints. A quick Google search will inform you about the Shine debacle and yet another reason to dislike Don King.
First, a huge congratulations goes out to Chance "Ears" Beck for his 46 second MMA victory Saturday night in Greenville! The way I heard it, Chance landed several awesome combinations, rocked the guy, attempted a throw but ended up on bottom in guard. Not slowing down, he quickly transitioned to an armbar for the submission victory! Pay attention because I won't say this again for fear of his ego getting out of control, but we are proud of you Chance! Awesome job and keep up the hard work!
Another huge congratulations goes out to R. Frank Mullis, Jr., our affiliate in Milledgeville. This past weekend at the grand opening of the new Serra Academy in Long Island, Frank was promoted to brown belt! Frank has been training under both Professor Paul and Professor Matt for a while now, and his diligence was rewarded Saturday in a special ceremony with some special guests. When I talked to him about the promotion, he confessed to shedding a few tears. Don't worry Frankie, Juanny can relate. To read about it, go here.
Also, We will be CLOSED on Memorial Day, Monday the 31st.
